<h4>About Heather</h4>Heather Keeler is a mom, educator, and advocate who has served Moorhead as a Minnesota State Representative for the past five years. Guided by her mission to lead with love, she has stood up for neighbors who need it most while working across the aisle to get things done for greater Minnesota. She has delivered real results, including the Pathway Home Act, emergency food shelf funding, expanded SNAP access, and leading the statewide School Attendance Task Force. Now, after careful and prayerful consideration, she is running for Congress to fight for healthcare access, safe and affordable housing, food security, and a strong local economy, because we are better when we come together and lead with love.

By attending your convention, you aren't just a spectator; you are the decision-maker.<h4>Your Convention Roadmap</h4><ol><li>Check Your Status: Ensure you were elected as a delegate or alternate at your Feb 3rd caucus. You should get an email or mail with the next steps from your organizing unit.</li><li>Find Your Date: Organizing Unit (OU) conventions happen now through Mid-March. Keep an eye on your email, or check the information below!</li><li>Show Up for Heather! Arrive on time, wear your Heather gear, meet fellow supporters, and help us table!</li><li>Run as a Delegate for the CD Convention! Make sure to raise your hand and run as a delegate for the Congressional District 7 Convention!</li></ol>The CD7 DFL Convention will be held on April 25th at 1 PM, at Prairie's Edge Casino and Resort near Granite Falls, MN. As an Assistant DFL Floor Leader and co-Vice Chair on <a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/cmte/Home/?comm=94014">Human Services Finance and Policy</a> committee, as well as serving on the <a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/cmte/Home/?comm=94006">Education Policy</a> and <a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/cmte/Home/?comm=94011">Health Finance Policy</a> committees, Representative Keeler has focused on passing bipartisan legislation and securing critical funding for Greater Minnesota.Here is a look at just some of her record of effective leadership:<ul><li>Tackling Housing and Homelessness: As the former Vice Chair of the Preventing Homelessness Division of the Housing Committee, Rep. Keeler played a central role in crafting policies to increase access to affordable housing and resources for local organizations helping families and individuals experiencing homelessness. She secured nearly <a href="https://www.ncsha.org/hfa-news/minnesota-housing-to-invest-nearly-40-million-to-develop-workforce-housing-across-the-state/">$40 million in funding for workforce housing in Greater Minnesota</a>.</li><li>Championing Human Services: Rep. Keeler authored unanimously passed legislation to <a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/NewLaws/story/2023/5537">allocate $5 million in emergency funding for emergency food shelves</a>, ensuring our neighbors have access to the basic necessities they need.</li><li>Supporting Students: As the Chair of the<a href="https://www.house.mn.gov/members/profile/news/15539/39749"> Student Attendance and Truancy Legislative Study Group</a>, Rep. Keeler understands that families need leaders who will fight to lower costs and take on entrenched systems. <h2 style="text-align: left;">Precinct Caucuses are February 3, 2026 at 7:00PM</h2>The Minnesota DFL endorsement process starts at the grassroots, and it’s the first step toward sending Heather to Congress.If you want Heather to be your voice in Washington, we need you to show up to your local precinct caucus on February 3rd and make your voice heard. Never caucused before? No worries! We’d love for this to be your first. We’ll make sure you have what you need to participate and be counted.

<h2>How To Caucus For Heather:</h2>The precinct caucus and convention process is a fun way to meet your neighbors, make your voice heard, and support candidates that share your values! We need to end the "software locks" that force you to wait for a corporate technician while the weather window is closing.</li><li>Taking on the Meat Monopolies: We’ve got to enforce the antitrust laws already on the books. Let’s support local lockers and small-scale processors so our farmers aren't getting squeezed by the "Big 4" meatpackers.</li><li>Labeling Integrity: If it says "American Beef," it should be born and raised right here—not just packaged here after a boat ride.</li></ul>

If your doctor says you need a scan or a script, a computer program or a cubicle-dweller in another state shouldn't be allowed to say "no."</li><li>Save Our Rural Clinics: We have to protect Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement rates. If our rural hospitals and nursing homes can’t keep the lights on, our communities fall apart.</li><li>Lowering the Bill: Let Medicare negotiate the cost of every drug. There’s no reason we should be paying ten times what they pay in other countries for the same medicine.</li></ul>

One job should be enough to pay the mortgage and put a little away for the kids. It’s that simple.<ul><li>Main Street Over Wall Street: We need to stop the "billionaire economy." That means cutting taxes for small businesses and the middle class by closing the loopholes that let multi-nationals hide their profits offshore.</li><li>Paid Leave that Works: No one should have to choose between their paycheck and being there for a sick parent or a new baby. We need a national plan that’s easy for small businesses to use, so they can keep their best people.</li><li>Safe Rails &amp; Roads: Our small towns shouldn't be at the mercy of mile-long freight trains with skeleton crews. We need mandatory two-person crews and strict limits on blocked crossings.</li></ul>
